Competentum and Microsoft completed a joined case study on ShareKnowledge deployment in OGK 5

Microsoft published a case study for ShareKnowledge: "OGK-5 automates learning with the help of Microsoft Office Server SharePoint 2007". OGK is one of seven Russian wholesale generating companies, with main office in Moscow and branches all over Russia.

To train the staff, which exceeds 4 thousand people, OGK-5 decided to establish a corporate university. By that time, the company already had a corporate portal based on Microsoft Office Server SharePoint 2007, which served as a centralized repository and a collaboration tool.

Out of many available learning management systems, OGK-5 chose Competentum's Shareknowledge based on SharePoint. "Using ShareKnowledge allowed to significantly decrease time and money spent on training of learning center specialists as trainers and company's employees to use the system" says Alexander Perfilov, head of corporate IT systems department.
