"Open Computer Science" is a new e-Learning product for schools and colleges.

New series of electronic courses "Open Computer Science 3.0" is a part of "College.ru Library" series: Math and Science courses for middle and high schools.

Four courses can be built into the e-Learning course "Open Computer Science 3.0":

• Models and Processes;
• Computer Hardware;
• Operational systems;
• Computer Software;

Each course consists of "information", "practice" and "attestation" modules which can be arranged into various learning paths.

"Information" modules include hypertext theoretical materials with interactive models, animations, and self-assessment tasks. "Practice" modules are virtual labs based on an interactive model, intended for studying a process or a phenomenon. "Attestation" modules contain tests on the main topics of the course. As a bonus, courses include several game modules.

All modules are united by:

• Unified search system which allows to search adjacent courses as well;
• Grade book which permits several students to use one computer;
• Reference book;
• Multimedia gallery of digital objects;
• Teachers’ guide

Course modules are built into learning management system Competentum.Magister 2008 The results of working with each module are recorded in the grade book.

It is possible to set up individual learning paths, by changing the order of the topics or excluding some of them.
